College History
Nava Samaj Mandal Trust was established in the year 1951 by a group of social workers to impart quality education to the policy. The goal of creating an environment blended with the cultural heritage and tradition has been undertaken by the mandal to impart moral values and contribute towards building up better citizen of tomorrow.
A Balmandir was inaugrated by Hon. Shri. Radhakrishnan, the then Vice President of India in 1952. The foundation stone for the Balmandir was laid by the then chief minister Hon. Shri B.G. Kher, on the 800 sq. yards of land which came as the first donation from Shri Chandulal Bhogilal Parikh. Within 4 years in 1956 a Primary school was started in the name of the first donor. A high school started in 1959. In the year 1963 a plot of 5500 sq. yards was purchased and thereafter came gracious donation from Lions Juhu towards high school in 1967-68. Thereafter a two storey building was built in 1974. In 1978, English medium started from K.G. onwards up to S.S.C.
The Nava Samaj Mandal Trust started Nitin Godiwala Junoir College of Commerce affiliated to the Higher and Scondary Education, Government of Maharashtra in 2008-2009. The Trust has achieved another mile stone by getting the affilation of ICSE Board, New Delhi in 2013-2014 for school section. a step ahead has been advanced by inaugrating the Degree College from the Academic Year 2013-2014.Not keeping any stone unturn, the Trust has provided students with wellequipped and modern amenities as well as advanced infrastructure to the institution. More than 2000 students are studying in Degree College, Junior College and School, with 150 dedicated staff members including teaching and non-teaching
