The College has LCD projectors, tutorial rooms, library, a state-of-the-art seminar room and a fully equipped auditorium with seating capacity of over 750 persons. The College takes pride in being a differently-abled friendly campus with new ramps, lifts and special washrooms added to the building. Also, the College has various facilities to address the reading, hearing and understanding requirements of various students. A complete smoke and vehicle free zone, the College provides an eco-friendly environment to its students with the latest initiatives of green initiatives.
The College has taken measures to address the need for vigilance and security. The campus is CCTV-enabled to cater to the safety requirements of a well endowed and equipped campus receiving a huge footfall. Classrooms
The class-rooms in the Main Building retain their heritage look with vintage teak furniture. The class rooms at NSM Degree College facilitate a blend of traditional and modern modes of teaching such as:
- Three panel Green Boards with large central panel and two small side panels. The green boards reduce glare on eyes and help improve the capacity for learning.

Library
Attached to the main academic block, the NSM Degree College Library is huge with covering almost 200 students at a time. The NSM Degree College library employs the latest technology in library sciences to provide the best learning environment to its users. Well-stocked and presently having a collection of over thousands volumes on different subjects, latest publications in the fields of business, economics, humanities and social sciences are continuously added to the collection to equip students with a wide range of academic.
All prominent national dailies are also subscribed in the library. Magazines such as Business India, Business Today, Business World, and Times amongst others are also subscribed in the library.
TURF
A primary focus of our Nava Samaj Mandal’s NSM Degree College is to provide simple pockets of lush green space for passive play so our Students can disconnect from the online world and reconnect with others, face to face.
Turf is also the safest surface for our children to engage in outdoor leisure activities, games and sports, so it makes perfect sense for Colleges to be making this a priority.

Auditorium
The NSM Degree College auditorium has a seating capacity of about seven hundred and fifty people. Extensively used for extra-curricular events and for hosting functions of the College such as the annual day, it has an advanced light and sound system. It is equipped with a large stage, comfortable seating, carpeting, wall paneling for acoustic effects, air-conditioners, washrooms, and a podium.
Student Recreation Infrastructure
Canteen
The College operates a canteen having a seating of Commerce capacity of fifty people. The College Canteen is a popular meeting place for students’ serving a variety of dishes at moderate prices. The ambience of the College canteen reflects the youthfulness of its visitors with its elegant tables, cozy chairs and a pleasant environment.
Computer Labs
The College has three state of the art Computer Labs. All the computers in the centers are provided with the latest updated software and hardware. Further, each center is equipped with uninterrupted power backup.
The teaching of Information Technology and computer based papers is carried out in the computer centers. In addition, the centers are also available for the students for accessing internet, practice and for preparation of their projects.
Procedure and Policy for maintenance and utilization of facilities in the College :
The policy of the College is to fulfill and upgrade the infrastructural requirements as and when such need arises. Various committees of the College are constituted to plan and ensure that the available infrastructure is in line with its academic growth and is optimally utilized.
Procedure for maintenance of facilities:
The College ensures regular maintenance and upkeep of all infrastructural facilities. The maintenance work is carried out by trained in-house experts as well as outsourced to appropriate outside agencies. A full-time caretaker is appointed by the College to ensure the cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, water supply, electricity, and security and stationery condition and to update the Principal of the institution about the current/ daily state of affairs. Furniture and equipment are purchased on regular basis as per the requirements. The College has its own fulltime sweepers and gardeners to maintain the lawns and flora of the College.
The College has appointed a Senior Technical Assistant and a Computer Network Assistant to provide regular support services relating to computer hardware and software.
Procedure for utilization of facilities:
The decisions in respect to the proposals for initiating new programmes or activities in the College are taken in the staff council meeting. The decisions are then taken to the Governing Body for approval. The timetable committees evaluate the possibilities of rational and optimal use of the time and space available. Rooms of different sizes are allotted in accordance with the size of the classes. They make recommendations periodically about the need for expanding the existing space, remodeling or reusing the existing space. Further, suggestions are made for the most efficient use of the time frame, keeping in mind the need to balance academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
